They recently performed a sell-out concert at the 2008 Kilkenny Arts Festival and in October performed at the JK Ensemble Session Goes Live hosted by John Kelly in the Button Factory, Dublin which was broadcast by R.T.E. Lyric FM in 2009. The trio have recently completed recording original compositions for their second album entitled ZEITGEIST. This new CD will be released with the renowned jazz record label Fresh Sound Records in May 2009 and the trio will begin their promotional tour on May the 6th at Dolan's Warehouse in Limerick. The albumwas recorded in Dublin, Ireland in December 2008 and Mixed and Mastered by leading German sound engineer Thomas Schmidt.

BILL CARROTHERS

Bill Carrothers has been a professional pianist for over 25 years. He has played many venues throughout the U.S. and Europe including the Village Gate, Knitting Factory, Birdland, Blues Alley, New Morning (Paris), the Audi Jazz Festival in Brussels, the Nevers Jazz Festival (where he shared the bill with Abbey Lincoln), the Montreal Jazz Festival, Jazz Middelheim and the Marciac Festival in France.In October of 2000, Mr. Carrothers headlined the prestigious Rising Star Tour throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. He has been a leader on nine recordings, all of which have received critical acclaim. His sideman credits have included some of the greatest names in jazz, including Joe Beck, Scott Colley, Buddy DeFranco, Dave Douglas, Curtis Fuller, Eric Gravatt, Drew Gress, Tim Hagans, Billy Higgins, Lee Konitz, James Moody, Gary Peacock, Dewey Redman, Charlie Rouse, James Spaulding, Bill Stewart, Ira Sullivan, Toots Thielemans.

KEVIN BRADY


Dublin based drummer Kevin Brady has been performing professionally for many years with the Hammond organ group Organics and is also a member of the critically acclaimed piano trio led by Phil Ware. He has studied drums/percussion at the Drummers Collective in New York, where his teachers were Kim Plainfield and Bobby Sanabrias; In Havana, Cuba with Jose Eladio. Previous teachers have included Jeff Ballard, Ben Perowsky, Matt Wilson, Elliot Zigmund and Keith Copeland. Brady has performed at numerous festivals & clubs in the U.K. India, Mexico, U.S.A. Australia, Japan & New Zealand. He has performed with International jazz musicians like: Ronnie Cuber (Baritone Sax.) Ulf Wakenius (Guitar) Ian Shaw (Vocalist/Pianist), Jesse Davis (Saxophone) Guy Barker ( Trumpet ) Jim Mullen (guitar), Bobby Watson (alto) Tim Ries (Saxophone) Jason Rigby (Sax) Giovanni Mirabassi (Piano) Ron Anthony (Guitar) Michael Buckley (Sax) on the home front he has worked with Van Morrison, jazz guitarist Louis Stewart, vocalist Honor Heffernan and more recently with Choice Music Award nominee Dave Geraghty (BellX1). DAVE REDMOND

David began playing electric bass at the age of 16 and played in a rock band, he continued to study music throughout his early years. He attended The Newpark Music Centre, Dublin for three years (!999-2002) where he began studying double bass and received the Associate in Jazz Double Bass Performance, awarded by the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In the summer of 2003 he continued his studies and travelled to New York to The School for Improvisational Music and studied under Steve Coleman, Ravi Coltrane, Vijay Iyer, Don Byron and other leading jazz musicians. In 2005, he studied for a week with bassist Drew Gress and in 2007 with Ben Allison. Redmond has performed with visiting artists such as Bob Dorough, Keith Copeland, Dave Leibman, Jason Rigby, Bobby Wellins, Guy Barker, Ian Shaw, Jacqui Dankworth, Scott Hamilton, and Jim Mullen. He has peformed at numerous festivals and clubs in throughout the World such as Ronnie Scotts and Pizza Express (London), Mexico (Tour with Phil Ware trio), N.Y.C, Dubai and Abu Dhabi (Cormac Kenevey Quartet), Switzerland, Hungry, (Yurodny) and Spain.
